Who we are.
Parkers Cufflinks is a small family run business situated in the heart of the Hampshire countryside and originating from our passion for outdoor sporting pursuits. We are a husband and wife team; Will and Kate Parker.
“I have, from the age where I could safely handle a gun been a keen shot with rifle, pistol and shotgun. Be it pigeon and bunnies with an air rifle, driven game on my grand parents estate, fleeting woodcock in Devon, Hampshire Partridge or stalking Kudu in Africa, shooting is very much in the blood.
As with many country sportsmen the gap between my winter game seasons is filled stalking brown trout on chalk streams and pursuing the elusive salmon”
Kate, never destined to be the sporting widow, when not competing tenaciously at her primary passion, horse riding, regularly accompanies Will (along with dogs and sprogs) on many a days sport. It is a not uncommon sight to see Will, Kate, children, gundogs, long dog, ferrets, guns, rods, horsebox et al rattling along Hampshire’s country lanes on our way to some sporting adventure or other.
“As with many sporting other halves I enjoy sharing in our passions and am never happier than when out performing my supposedly knowledgeable husband with rod or gun which I will be more than happy to elaborate on if I meet you at one of the shows”
As is the curse of many a sporting gentleman, our calendar is regularly interrupted by the necessity of earning some brass, Will swopping his plus fours for pinstripes. The seed of the idea for Parkers Cufflinks was planted whilst continually emptying brass and cartridges into bins (not to mention salmon flies into trees!) the question ‘There must be something we can do to recycle all of this?’. The eureka moment occurred and from there it only seemed natural to combine Wills ‘magpie love’ of cufflinks with his shooting passion and turning it into a meaningful enterprise.
“As a small rural business we try to attend as many of the country shows as possible and look forward to exchanging tall stories about your heroic left and right or the one that got away. For those who can’t make the shows, we hope you enjoy the web site and find some cufflinks or jewellery to your liking. We love them and hope you do to.”
